A Fiat windshield varies with the car's size and its safety package. The 500X can carry a Lane Assist camera on the glass for LaneSense and Forward Collision Warning-Plus. The 500L's windshield is flanked by split front pillars with their own small glass, and the little 500 and 500e use a short, rounded windshield with no camera on most builds.
Our VIN check shows whether the Fiat has the camera mount, a rain sensor and which tint band it carries. That decides the part, and on a 500X it decides whether calibration follows.

LaneSense camera calibration on a Fiat 500X
On a Fiat 500X equipped with LaneSense Departure Warning-Plus or Forward Collision Warning-Plus, Lane Assist reads the road through a camera on the windshield. Once a new 500X windshield is in, that camera is calibrated before the lane and collision warnings are trusted, and we schedule it together with the Fiat windshield.
The 500X calibration runs from a scan tool following the Stellantis routine for the model, usually a guided drive along a road with clear lane lines on both sides. Most Fiat 500 and 500L cars have no windshield camera, so they skip this step.

What a Fiat windshield quote depends on
A 500X windshield with the Lane Assist camera mount is a different job from a plain 500 pane. Model, options and the camera calibration on a 500X shape the Fiat quote.

Fiat windshield coverage in Arizona and Florida
Florida waives the comprehensive deductible on windshields, so a 500X or 500 owner there does not pay it for the glass. Arizona has every insurer offer full glass coverage, yet a 500X or 500L windshield is paid in full only when that option was actually added. Before the visit we run a free coverage check on the 500X or 500L policy, assist with the filing and invoice the insurer.

A Fiat windshield visit
With the VIN read, we come to the Fiat at home or work. Wipers, cowl and mirror trim come off, the cracked 500X, 500L or 500 windshield is cut out, and the new glass is seated in urethane. On a camera-equipped 500X the calibration drive follows where the procedure can be done on site, and we tell you when the Fiat is ready to go.
