Tesla Insurance policies in Arizona

A.R.S. § 20-264 requires insurers writing private passenger comprehensive coverage to offer full-glass coverage without a deductible. The policyholder must elect it. It is not automatic.

Under A.R.S. § 20-469, an Arizona insured may choose a glass repair facility unless the policy contract says otherwise.

Tesla Insurance policies in Florida

Under Fla. Stat. § 627.7288, Florida's windshield deductible does not apply when the policy has comprehensive or combined additional coverage. The rule does not cover door, rear, quarter, or sunroof glass.

Fla. Stat. § 627.7291 says a person may not require a particular company or location for covered Florida personal-lines windshield claims. An insured may have accepted a policy with a windshield repair arrangement, so check the policy terms.

Which number do I need for a Tesla Insurance glass claim?

Tesla Insurance assigns a claim number after you file. Keep it exactly as shown, including the dashes. The glass-only claim also asks for your policy number, VIN, vehicle details, incident date, location, and a short description. Will Tesla Insurance charge my deductible in Arizona or Florida?

Check your declarations and endorsements. In Arizona, A.R.S. § 20-264 applies without a deductible only when you elected the full-glass option. Otherwise, the comprehensive deductible applies. Under Fla. Stat. § 627.7288, Florida's windshield deductible does not apply with comprehensive or combined additional coverage. That Florida rule is windshield-only. Door, rear, quarter, and sunroof glass keep the normal deductible.

Can Tesla Insurance require a certain glass shop?

Tesla Insurance's glass steps let you enter a third-party shop in Find a Repair Facility. In Arizona, A.R.S. § 20-469 protects shop choice unless the policy contract says otherwise. Under Fla. Stat. § 627.7291, a shop cannot be required for a personal auto windshield claim, though your choices may differ if you accepted a policy with a windshield repair arrangement.

Does a Tesla Insurance glass claim include ADAS calibration?

Tesla's service guidance says camera calibration data must be cleared when a windshield replacement shifts the camera from its calibrated position. The exact procedure depends on the vehicle.
